YSB Tril – A Young Self-Made Boss

Tae Riley, better known by his stage name YSB Tril, is an up-and-coming rapper from the small town of Clayton, just outside of Raleigh, North Carolina. YSB Tril has become known for his vocals and refined harmonies, all while touching a variety of genres and creating a thrilling sound. YSB Tril has been making waves in the industry as he continues to demonstrate his versatility in all aspects of his music.

YSB, standing for “Young Self-Made Boss,” is a mantra that can be felt not only through the imagery in his lyrics, but also the energy that his music carries. He has a strong catalog of songs, showing strength in both his vocal ability, as well as his fast-paced bars.

The YSB moniker is also a lifestyle. His 2021 song Count Me In was featured on the Madden 22 Soundtrack along with Jack Harlow, Swae Lee, Moneybagg Yo and more.

YSB Tril, who cites Juice WRLD as his main influence, has been building his buzz with his previously-released tracks, which have amassed over 10 million streams globally.

“When I was really getting into music, like heavy heavy, as an artist, I was listening to Juice WRLD a lot. Listening to the way he did things. And then I kinda took that and made it my own.”

Tril talks about his new mixtape STARSTRUCK 2 describing it as his desire to experiment with new styles.

The sound is elevated. A lot of people will be surprised

“I want people to understand my versatility. I will definitely be able to showcase it more on this mixtape. I branched out a little bit with Paralyzed, but on this project I wanted to see how more mature this sound could be.”

His fans keep him motivated to create new things: “You don’t realize how much of an impact you make on people until you see it for yourself. When people come to you and really tell you how much you influenced them.”

This year we can definitely expect more experimentation from YSB Tril:

“I want to give people some different stuff, but I also want to give to people, the core fanbase, the stuff that they already love and know. I’ve been experimenting a lot. Dived more into pop and r’n’b, trap stuff. I have a lot of types of different music that I’m just trying to put out there.”
