Indie pop artist Anna Shoemaker tells all in her DEBUT album “Everything is Fine”

Indie-pop artist Anna Shoemaker JUST released her debut album Everything is Fine and let me tell you, it embodies the mood of the year. AND if this is your first time coming across her music, this album is her own open diary. “It's really kind of just true to who I am and things that have happened to me and things that I wish I could have done or said” Shoemaker reveals. Debuting your first album also means that you’re making yourself known to the world. Everything in her album is 100% true to Shoemaker. Though she had all the power to only showcase the good but never the bad and the ugly, she’s kept it all. “It wouldn’t be fair to cut out some chapters of the story”, Shoemaker states.

Though musical theater was her first love, it was songwriting that hooked her into music when she was young.

It always felt really natural to me which other things did not.

All the rising artists out there, listen up! One of the keys to Anna Shoemaker’s success is building a family within the industry. Surround yourself with people who not only believe in you, but YOU also believe in. And your vision will come to life, just like her music video for “Mariah” created by a Anna and her team:

Lately, it’s been with my boyfriend a lot. We’ve been working together actually in his apartment. Which I kind of prefer to the studio. I think that for me, it happens best when it’s just really natural and kind of free flowing.

Last week, Shoemaker had come across her album featured in TIMES SQUARE! She had less than a minute to snap a photo with it before it flashed to the next feature. Immediately after this iconic moment in time, she caught a train with a minute to spare to get to a show she was playing later that night.

A couple of live shows in New York and Los Angeles are just around the corner for Anna Shoemaker, and she predicts “Scared of Your Ex (Brooklyn Cowboy)” will be a crowd favorite!

Trusting yourself, not apologizing too much when people don’t deserve apologies. Be the person you want to be and not being afraid, which I think is way more difficult done than said!
