Festival season is in full swing! From Coachella to Lollapalooza to Rolling Loud to Glastonbury, and so much more... there are countless music festivals out there. But how do these music festivals come together? How do artists get to perform at these music festivals?

Join Finessed Media for a discussion on music festivals and other live events to learn about how artists get booked into music festivals, the ins-and-outs of putting together a music festival, and get firsthand insight on what it's like to work and perform at a music festival!

Maythe Santos is a well-versed music industry professional who strives on making the industry more diverse and inclusive. She graduated from Columbia College Chicago in 2020 with a BFA in Music Business and learned an array of skills through her studies. Maythe has worked in artist relations, hospitality, production, and merch at many different music venues, festivals, and events. You can find her working these positions at renowned Chicago venues such as The Riveria, Lincoln Hall & Schubas, and Park West and at festivals: Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza. Recently, Maythe has toured with Iron & Wine and The Mountain Goats and manages merchandise for Ten Atoms.

As Artist Relations lead for Sol Blume & Lost In Riddim, Monique Williams cultivates relationships with Artist teams to ensure smooth performances and create enjoyable experiences for all involved. From travel, hospitality, logistics and more, the festival experience is made backstage and Monique ensures that everything goes off without a hitch.

Monique is no stranger to the festival world. Getting her start at ICM partners helping book some of the nation’s top festivals, she then dipped her toes in Festival Operations and even led marketing efforts for AFROPUNK.

Chicago native Lando Chill is a hip-hop musician untethered to a single genre, encompassing elements of funk, folk, reggae, and spoken word. With over 38,000 monthly listeners and 5 released albums, Lando has formed an outstanding music career and has landed his second U.S. supporting slot tour with Ish from Shabazz Palace’s newest band Knife Knights, and has started two separate projects with LA-based producers Calvin Valentine and Teddy Roxpin. He’s also performed at various music festivals such as Riot Fest, Norman Music Festival, HOCO Fest, Night of the Living Fest, and many more!
