Born and raised in China, Cheryl Xiaoning Wang is a music supervisor and film producer based in New York City.

With BBA in accounting and finance, Cheryl launched her career as accountant on DreamWorks's Kung Fu Panda 3 and later transitioned to film distribution at IMAX. After intensively working from the business side, Cheryl came to New York for creative filmmaking and recently obtained MFA in Film Producing at Columbia University.

Always devoted to the synergy between music and visual media, through which she'd explore fresh perspectives in self-expression and storytelling, Cheryl has produced multiple music-heavy short films and engaged in music supervision for feature films and documentaries for prestigious auteurs. Some of her credits include X (A24, Ti West), The Last Movie Stars (HBO Max, Ethan Hawke) and Armageddon Time (Focus Features, James Gray). Her works have been selected and screened at major film festivals, including Cannes, Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca.

As a queer BIPOC woman working in the entertainment space, Cheryl works closely with her community and is dedicated to supporting and amplifying underrepresented voices in film and music.
