Launches are Weird

Chapter 8

On Monday November 2nd, 2020, we launched our Finessed Media Membership Platform, which will allow us to develop our operations while providing more opportunities and resources to our community.

This week’s blog post is going to be a little different than usual; we’re not going to be recapping one of our past events, and we’re actually not even going to be telling you more about our membership platform, because our friends at Business Insider, Yahoo News, and more already did that for us. Instead, we’re going to share some of the feelings that have surrounded our program launch.

Let me start by saying, on behalf of all of us at Finessed Media, there is an undeniable feeling of gratitude and appreciation for you guys. We are so thankful for the opportunity to build Finessed Media and help each and everyone one of you develop as artists and reach your entrepreneurial goals. Which is why, as happy as we are to have reached this milestone, we know how much more work there is left to do.

We have bigger plans. Successfully launching our Membership Program is definitely an accomplishment for us – one that we’re proud of – but we know that we’re no where near done. And honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Our CEO shared some of her feelings on the launch in a social media post earlier this week, in which she reminds us that with goals as big as ours, we just have to keep running forward, because there is no finish line. There will be victories along the way, but at no point will we feel like we have “finished” what we set out to do. We will always want to grow, and we will always have more people to help – and because of that, we are willing to admit that “launches are weird”. Because, in a way, nothing changes. We still have a lot of work to do, and we’re not going to be done anytime soon.

Sometimes it’s hard for people to understand how big our dreams are. Luckily, that’s never mattered to us. What does matter though, is that we continue to do what we love, and help the people that we want to help. So, as we continue to build, work, and struggle, towards everything that we want for ourselves and each other, we will continue to toast to our small victories

because we are excited… we just happen to know that we’re not done yet.
